This week we talked about the possibility of reinventing yourself to becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be, without spending any money early on in the process. This weekend, your challenge is to think about how you can reinvent yourself to be the person you see in your mind’s eye, and to think of ways to do so without spending any money. For example, let’s say you’ve always wanted to become a gourmet cook. Instead of rushing out to buy a new set of Calphalon pans or cooking lessons, you would do some research on the Internet and at your local library about cooking methods, different ingredients, and all the basics of gourmet cooking. Then, you’d use your existing pots and pans to practice on. Whatever your ultimate goal, list all the things you can do to achieve it without yet spending money. Once you’ve completed those free steps and proven your commitment to yourself, you can consider making a financial investment that will help further your progress.
